AOTM- 8tracks

Today's app of the month is one that I've mentioned before. It was in my *Music Apps Post* which was ages ago, well it feels like it anyway. The reason I've decided to feature it again is because a) that post was really old and didn't really do it justice, b) it's really good and c) because why not?☺If you aren't familiar with 8tracks it's basically something you can make and share playlists on. If you're like me and can't really be bothered making a playlist then there's plenty that you can choose from :) So, moving onto why I've decided to dedicate a whole post to this app...

It just plays- usually, whenever I'm looking to play a song I'll select one, choose another when it ends and then forget to change it when that one ends. So basically I end up listening to nothing. Anyone else? This is why listening to a playlist on 8tracks just solves things. You can choose a playlist depending on your mood and then just let it play. It works. The other great thing is that if you come across a song that you don't really like you can skip it. There is a limit to the number of times you can skip a song every hour but, to be honest, I hardly ever reach it and I'm incredibly picky about what songs I listen to!

Discovering new music- I'm the sort of person who gets bored of listening to a song fairly quickly which is where the ready made playlists in 8tracks come in. Personally, I've discovered a tonne of new songs with the app which is one of the main reasons I like it. Since you can choose a playlist by genre the music usually isn't too far off what you're after.

It's free- and you don't have to listen to ads between songs. It also has a really clean, easy to use layout with a lot of options and search tools available.

You can probably guess this but... I really like 8tracks☺ Anyway, let me know in the comments if you use it and if so what you think!! Thanks for reading!!
